Bamboo Kingdom

The Anji Bamboo Expo Garden is located in Anji County, Zhejiang Province, a famous Chinese bamboo hometown. It was jointly established in 1974 by the Subtropical Institute of the Chinese Academy of Forestry, the Anji County Forestry Bureau, and Lingfeng Temple Forest Farm. Over the years, the Bamboo Expo Garden has fully inherited and promoted the research achievements in forest ecological economics, placing scientific research and production work in the primary position. It focuses on both technology and industrial promotion, achieving a combination of ecological, economic, and social benefits, and has achieved gratifying results. The total area is over 1200 acres, including 600 acres for bamboo classification and appreciation, and 608 acres for seedling propagation and production. It has collected more than 300 varieties of bamboo, including 50 local bamboo species in Anji and more than 20 introduced from abroad.
